The problem with self-winding watches is that, unless you wear them daily, they run down. It's a hassle to have to reset the time and date each time you want to wear it! The obvious solution for those who own and wear a number of different watches (including self-winders) is to purchase a watch winder; but the problem with most watch winders is they have a noisy, disruptive motor, they're inefficient and they're expensive _ costing between $200 and $400!
